It started back in January when I rented a climate controlled unit. The rate was good and I know many companies will do just an introductory rate, so I asked the gentleman at the counter why the rates were so good and he responded with. “We’re just trying to get them rented. We don’t want them empty.” That would’ve been the perfect opportunity to let me know that was only a temporary rate. None of that was said. In May, I received a letter saying that we were going to have a rate hike of $30 more per month. I called and was told that if I could just pay half of that increase, then they would be willing to do that. I agreed, and I thought that would be the end of it. However, when I went to login for this months rent, noticed that the bill is now $109. I called and was met with the same scenario as last time. If I could just pay half of the rate hike. I’m sorry, but I’m NOT playing that game. Please folks do not do business with this company if you value your money. Also, after doing a little inquiring, I found out that I’m not the only one they’ve done this to. There are lots. The whole thing just feels sketchy. I will be cleaning this unit out before next month’s rent hits. I’m so disappointed but on a good note, I found a unit just the same size cheaper, and the rates will not increase. Thank goodness there are companies who value their customers. Also looking back through the reviews I see all these glowing reviews for Jeffrey. He is nice and was very professional, but that just means he’s good at his job. He reels people in and does not tell them all of the details. He does monster’s dirty work. Don’t be fooled. I wish I could have given them “0” stars. Update: the email address you gave me is no good. I went to the website and left a message, but if it goes to the property manager, that will be useless.
